01 — Earth as centre
Everything exists
in relation to earth.
TERRA places earth at the centre of a circular architecture, suspending its weight beneath an opening of light as the body moves in orbit.
At the centre of TERRA, a dense and irregular earthen mass is held away from the ground beneath a circular oculus. Enclosure, light and movement are organised around it, turning earth from material into the spatial centre of the project.
02 — Vertical order
Gravity makes
weight visible.
Suspension makes gravity present. The mass appears heavy because its distance from the ground remains visible; its downward-converging form concentrates that tension without resolving into a familiar figure.
Above, the oculus establishes a vertical alignment between light, earth and ground.
03 — Orbit
The centre has
no single front.
The architecture is circular because the centre has no single front. Visitors move around the mass, measuring it through changing distance, overlap and scale.
Plan and section reveal one order in two directions. In plan, the perimeter establishes an orbit around the central earth condition. In section, the oculus, suspended mass and ground form a vertical axis.
04 — Field / matter
Architecture organises
the field around it.
Translucent membranes define the perimeter and filter the surrounding light, creating a temporary field rather than a neutral room around an object.
Within this centre, earth is understood at once as origin, physical matter, condition of life and measure of human presence. These registers are not separated into chapters; they are encountered together through the body’s movement.
05 — Temporary intensity
A complete condition.
A limited duration.
TERRA treats temporary architecture as a condition of intensity. For a limited duration, mass, light, enclosure and movement form a complete spatial experience. The project is conceptual and unbuilt.
06 — Project record
TERRA
TERRA is a temporary architecture study. The project is conceptual and unbuilt. Images are architectural visualisations and do not document a completed installation.
